After its previous activities, the CML AND GIST PATIENTS ASSOCIATION decided to renew in 2012. Since then the TOGETHER DAY, a free conference in Budapest with lectures, patient-doctor meetings and other community programmes is organized every year. Between 2013 and 2017 the association edited printed newsletter which was sent to each member. The event series CML-GIST CONSULTING (2016-18) created personal and public opportunity for patients and doctors to discuss current issues, questions and other subjects about the diseases countrywide (Debrecen, Gyula, Győr, Szeged, Veszprém). By the years of experience the association has recognized the necessity of a printed handbook, specialized in chronic myelogenous leukaemia and gastrointestinal stromal tumour, the first of its kind in Hungary. The CML-GIST HANDBOOK was published in 2020, which provides information, explanations and frequently asked questions based on international and domestic literature. Since the pandemic, the association has been continuously producing VIDEO LECTURES, which are available on YouTube.

In addition to the annual membership fee and 1% of the tax, the organization supported by targeted subsidies of pharmaceutical companies. Partners: Angelini (2016-), Prizer (2016-), Sandoz (2018-), Bristol-Myers Squibb (2015-16), Novartis (2013-15).

The CML and GIST Patients Association elects its presidency at its annual meeting, current members: dr. Hegedűs Péter president, Domonkos Mihály, Molnár Tamás.

The association has been member of the CML Advocates Network since 2014, in every year join to the CML World Day.
